A bizarre new service that allows you to lock and load your loved ones ashes is blowing up on the internet.
Holy Smoke, based in Stockton, Alabama, boasts a 'tribute to your outdoorsman or woman like no other,' according to their website.
The company offers a means to 'continue to protect your home and family even after you are gone,' by turning ashes into fully-functioning bullets.

A couple of game wardens came up with and implemeted this service. The Mail may think it bizarre, I like it.

They even made the Colbert Report, who of course found the concept hilarious unlike those of us from LA (Lower Alabama).

Yes . . . Me too.
This puts a serious American twist on the classic Viking funeral.
(Ping to Salamander, who just might be amused)

I wonder if this ammo leaves more residue behind?

This brings an entirely new level of meaning to the expression “shoot me now”.

Why would I pay this company $1,250 to load 250 rounds of ammo when I could do it myself at my kitchen table with my Lyman press for about 15 cents a round?

I could leave my Lee Turret Press to my son and have him produce some black powder rounds with my ashes mixed in with the powder. Instead of Cream of Wheat or grits, my ashes could be used as a filler for a reduced power target load.

    LOL
From the web site Holy Smoke
My friend smiled and said "You know I've thought about this for some time and I want to be cremated. Then I want my ashes put into some turkey load shotgun shells and have someone that knows how to turkey hunt use the shotgun shells with my ashes to shoot a turkey. That way I will rest in peace knowing that the last thing that one turkey will see is me, screaming at him at about 900 feet per second."

Would have been more of a spectacle if he’d used the cannon to commit suicide.

One should never mention “loved ones” [or should I say “former”] and ammo in the same sentence to me.
