***Not nearly as much as for trying to control hot fusion, like Tokomak reactors. If one were to look at the number of MJoules produced/$dollar, LENR would tower over hot fusion.

No doubt ~ LENR researchers have probably produced FAR MORE fusion simply by accident than the Hot Fusion folks have produced.

It's kind of like the debate between using Adult Stem Cells and Embryonic Stem Cells. The ESCs get all the public money (to buy the researchers nice new offices and laboratories). The ASC researchers keep busy healing disease.

I have my doubts about Hot Fusion ever working in a controlled environment.
