>>For a certainty no money will be returned to investors if the whole thing goes belly up.<<

What cute, clean, polished, child like world do you live in?

How long do you think he would still be breathing unassisted if he accepted 40M from someone for a scam? Think he would make it for an entire week?

Think of a jail where you can get a shiv stuck in your guts for stealing a cigarette. Think of kids in school where you will get the snot beat out of you for winking at the wrong girl. Think of the Mexican border where if you don’t pay up weekly as demanded, the cartel will kill everyone in the building then walk across the street and sit down for dinner.

Do you think multimillionaires are willing to be known at the country club as fools who would drop $40M with no physical retribution? If you do, you have no idea what the real world is all about. Cash the check and deliver as promised or you’ll pay with pieces of your head, sometimes it can be your entire head.

The world well be a better place of the E-cat works. I hope that it does, but I have not seen any convincing evidence thus far. As for your objection listed below:

How long do you think he would still be breathing unassisted if he accepted 40M from someone for a scam? Think he would make it for an entire week?

A great many scams have been pulled in the world involving losses far greater than 40M, with the perpetrators going unpunished.

It depends on what sort of organization the perpetrator has to protect them. If it is a version of the Russian mafia, I am pretty sure they could get away with it. It is also possible to protect yourself to an extent by careful selection of the victims. If you make sure the victims are vulnerable to intimidation themselves, it could work. Some victims will not wish to be identified.

There are places in the world where it is nearly impossible to reach someone with either legal or extra-legal force.

The fact that Mr. Rossi would not take $200,000 from you certainly is interesting. It says to me that there is no reason to be very excited about it, because I have no way to act on it if I knew it was valid.

I hope that the device produces energy as advertised. We should know by the end of the year. If there are no independently owned working models by that time, We can be pretty certain that it is a scam.

Go ask Madoff. He scammed $18 Billion. Or go ask any number of scam artists over the centuries. How many have been killed? Few if not none. So, trying to say this cannot be a scam because he would be killed is ignoring reality and history.

Bernie Madoff-$50 billion ($50,000,000,000.00) rip off and how much of that has been returned to investors?

Penn Square Bank went belly up and took down a quarter to half a billion dollars (1970’s dollars) of uninsured deposits because of making worthless loans.

In turn they brought down Continental Bank, whose sharp eyed bankers bought their bad loans by the truckload.

Guess being known as fools is no deterrent to fools.

It's far more dangerous to cheat someone of $40 than $40 million and you'll serve more time for stealing $40,000 with a gun than $40,000,000,000 with a pen.
