Police had a rough night in East Liberty on Sunday.
A large mob of teens damaged several stores along Penn Avenue.
Our Channel 11 News crew was listening to the police scanner when they heard a call to 911 for hundreds of teens causing trouble in a strip mall.
Police said they went inside the McDonald's, Trader Joes, and finally ended up at the new Target.
Officials said it's fortunate that no one was hurt during the chaos.
When reporter, Dave Bondy, arrived on scene, police were everywhere. At least a dozen officers were ordering hundreds of teenagers to leave the area.

The Target store that was invaded by these thugs has been open less than two weeks. What a complete pack of animals.
Disgusting-behavior-in-the-’burg-ping!!!
These flash mobs are almost exclusively young blacks. (I know it’s racist to point out that fact) So stores are going to have to take some kind of proactive steps to prevent this type of behavior.
Similar behavior has been happening at one of our local malls. So they have instituted a policy that no one between 12 and 18 can be in the mall without an adult in their presence. So all the nice kids who used to go to the mall and hang out have lost that freedom because of a small but troublesome group of minority youths.
This is why it’s not a good idea to open stores in the ghetto. BTW the headline is misleading. It appears these youths were disrupting a church picnic before their next rampage. The pastor didn’t know them.
The feral yutes are coming soon to most urban areas. Be ready for the future. Maybe it is wise to wear a helmet and shoes that you can run in. Good luck.
Trader Joes? These yoofs won’t find anything they like to eat there
I disagree. A few casualties would certainly dissuade similar stunts in the future.
Yeah, that'll work, Rev. Linda. What might help would be forcefully to admonish your congregants about the consequences of sex outside marriage: to wit, packs of feral, conscienceless "community children" disrupting your church picnic and vandalizing businesses.
The police should be rounding these kids up instead of telling them to disperse. Ransom them back to their parents for large fines, and let Mom and/or Dad impress upon the youth the foolishness of their actions.

Problem is, they are not sure who the parents are nor where to find them.
What a country!
WRONG.
Paddy wagons, dozens of them, and crowd them in for processing at Central Booking, downtown.
ENOUGH.
I always wear tennis shoes....not fashionable but very functional.
What I want is the cops to beat and pepper spray hell out these “youths.”
Yes, I think that would make a major impact on the presenting symptom. However, the church’s role is to address the personal immorality which has created the culture in which the “youths” exist.
Given the way the article is written, we're to conclude the offenders looked like this:
I think they were causing trouble at the church picnic before they attacked the strip mall.
What they really need to do is grab the cellphones of these creeps and see if they can trace the call back to whoever put out the call for the flash mob. Then hit his house, shoot his dog, terrify his family, and beat hell out of him. Finally, toss his agonized carcass in a jail cell.
I would guess most of them are living with auntie or grandma and “mom” and/or “dad” are absent/dead/in prison, etc.
It’s just the latest fad in black urban culture (and I’m sure many would think me a racist for daring to mention it). Our PC society has allowed the bad behavior to deteriorate until this is what we have. Whitey speaking out won’t do any good, so it’s up to strong black leaders to do so.
