Obama . . . clearly overwhelmed by the job . . . out of his depth . . . a failed leader. I think the media term for this conclusion is "Unexpected".

If the Republicans choose a half decent candidate such as Mitt Romney and the economy is still foundering, then Obama is toast . But if they slew off and follow the siren call of a Michele Bachmann or a Rick Perry then they will lose out badly.
Up is down; front is back; left is right. The author is just a typical liberal living in "bizarro" world where everything is backward. Nothing exposes that for all to see more clearly than pimping for Mitt Romney. Might as well run John McCain again ... there's no question he was more popular than Romney.

O’Rielly has been a joke for sometime. his logic is to shout down anyone who disagrees. Turned him off years ago.
He's just another in a long line of sudo conservatives who loves himself and thinks he's brilliant. Hey he's written books to prove it.
If it's "extremism" of the Tea Party that saves us then so be it.

IrishLeftist weighs in with the predictable screed.
The 40 or so responses to this posting represent a larger audience than Patrick Roberts ordinarily enjoys all week, so the message is clear: write outrageous crap and more people will read you, if only to conclude that you are, indeed, a moron.
Maureen O'Dowdy and her folksy pal (with the #1 show in cable news!) unfortunately, aren't in the same class of people we can afford to ignore. That is, BOR may have arrived at the same place, but he is not a Quasi-MoDo. She wants to pretend 0bama is weak and we need another McCain to exploit that weakness for selfish reasons. On the other hand, Ted Baxter's instincts about the American Indy voter are usually -- sadly -- quite good. So we must follow the tortured reasoning (such as it is) of this pompous gasbag, and use it to our advantage.
The Indies are "non-ideological" as BOR proudly proclaims more or less daily, as if that were a GOOD THING. Of course, it isn't. It means they employ no-self consistent reasoning process when it comes to the issues facing the country. Never have, never will. Luckily for the Good Guys, they have mostly conservative instincts.
Mostly.
The solution is to improve our message, not to nominate d-bags. We need to get Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Jim DeMint and others who can articulate the message front and center, using the dopey cliches about "for the kids" that the clueless Independents love so much.
Except in our case, we'll be telling the truth.

Basically what O’Reilly and Dowd are saying is the because Obama has been such a disaster, American voters want an opposition candidate whose views most closely resemble Obama’s. Yeah, great logic there.

Bill O’Reilly is wrong far more times than he is right. Lately, he is especially left leaning and his arguments have been weaker and weaker. Sometimes, you just feel like somebody on the set should just slap some sense back in him. Come on Bill, where's your spine been these past couple of years?

Even if he is a communist, how could communists ever expect to profit from a total financial meltdown? I do’t get these extreme leftists. Where do they stand to gain from our bankruptcy, hyper-inflation etc.
all communist/socialist states are nothing but huge bureaucracies controlling everything. Where would they get the money to pay their bureacratic employees? Or anything else?
the only alternative is state production/slave labor and communist countries already tried that.
Like I said, I don’t get it.

OReilly is nothing more than a shanty, across the road ass kissing, Black & Tan supporting needless nitwit that most Irishers want nothing to do with. My opinion is that he would turn in the Parish Priest for having a bottle of Jamesons in a dry county. I would much rather have a drink in the pub with Murphys Irish Pig than cross Raglan Road with this mope. LOL. And a big "Póg mo thóin!" to Dowd and all other Irish socialists.

Bill O’Reilly is a liar. People need to stop watching that Obamite. He’s in the tank for Obama and the establishment.
It’s because of what they call “Tea Party extremism” that the Republicans won control of the House of Representatives. If not for “Tea Party extremism”, we would still be under the tyranny of Nancy, the witch, Pelosi! Then we would not even be having a debt ceiling debate. The Democrats would have raised it already and be running up trillions more in debt with zero spending cuts.
It’s the Tea Party that’s DEFEATING Obama. Bill O’Reilly, Shut Up!
