Climate change is far less serious than ‘alarmists’ predict, an eminent NASA scientist has said. Dr Roy Spencer, who works on the space agency’s temperature-monitoring satellites, claimed they showed ‘a huge discrepancy’ between the real levels of heating and forecasts by the United Nations and other groups. After looking at the levels of radiation in the atmosphere over the past ten years, he believes the Earth releases a lot more heat into space than previously thought.

I hate the AGW crowd as much as the next FReeper, but I just wish Dr Spencer wasn’t a creationist.
Too bad the taxpayers are funding the frauds.

So what would you "wish" him to be?
It makes it too easy for people to dismiss him on that basis alone. On the other hand, perhaps being a creationist in his profession is a marker for courage.
But unlike the unprincipled modelers, Marxists, grant whores, and useful idiots promulgating the man-made global warming agenda, Dr. Spencer has real-world data on his side.
I knew this story was really important because no MSM news reader was breathlessly shouting the Al Gore was a liar and the whole AGW was a fraud. Instead I saw a crawler on the daily news program with no mention in the broadcast. Saw the GDP figure 1.3 for the second quarter but no mention of the downgrade of the first quarter from 1.9 to .4. Think they just missed these items along with the ATF scandal. You know it is the blind leading the blind in their profession.
