Not me. I want to see data.
And the data from the several demonstrations are NOT even anywhere remotely as negative/flawed as they are being widely portrayed to be.
Making instrumental measurements (specifically chemical/physical) is what I do for a living (I design instruments, and for many years applied and designed instruments in/for a major chemical company).
And Rossi's instrumentation and reactors could be duplicates of many that I designed instrumental methods for at "ye giant chemical company".
The methods used and the results obtained say that Rossi has exactly what he says he does. There are a large number of small details that most folks probably don't notice that make me think this is real.
Either that, or he is perpetrating one of the most thorough, genius-level frauds that has ever been done. It's worth following the technology story just to see whether that is the case.
Man why is this like a religion to the ECAT believers? Can’t you just wait until October like Rossi is asking? I’m not saying it’s fake, I’m just saying I want to believe. In October we’ll find out if he’s a snake oil saleman or if it’s legit.
If the government wanted it that bad, they’d already taken it.
That doesn’t explain what Rossi’s doing or why.
He's the one making all this public noise.
And if as you say “anyone who knows anything about technology” keeps it quite and develops it until its ready for market then why is Rossi doing all the talking putting up all the red flags before it's “ready”...
And I suppose Rossi is working all by himself on this... Because if he's not, those people working for him have signed one of those what you say are essentially worthless nondisclosure agreements... Nondisclosure agreements is how the tech world works by the way. And if a person or some small company had a legitimate one with some large entity that stole tech worth millions, particularly billions, the lawyers would be lining up to get in on the action on the side of the person/small company with hard evidence.
It would be rather difficult for the US to declare it a National Security issue when the thing is being manufactured and about to be sold across Europe.
Want me to think outside out the box?
How about it’s the liberal billionaires thinking it’s time for them to rattle the gavel and make the final decisions. Come out with a new energy source that doesn’t require hundreds of supertankers or tens of thousands of railroad cars, thousands of coal miners, thousands of oil field workers. Crush the capitalist energy companies (oil, coal, nuclear, gas) (Exxon, Chevron, BP, Shell, and the rest)into cat litter as the demand for crude drops like a rock.
LOL. You "are" an innocent. Go to any site where Rossi (or any other form of cold fusion is discussed), and you will find dozens of anti-CF types and VERY few even "E-cat" neutrals. The anti's are continuously posting the same tripe over and over and over, saying the exact same thing in multiple different ways, and selectively quoting (or ignoring) actual data.
At least the E-cat "believers" have some data backing their points (from the demonstrations and videos). The anti's have nothing but their conjectures. So you've got it exactly backwards.
And since Rossi has negotiated and signed a formal research agreement with the U. of Bologna to do exactly an "independent verification", he cannot be accused of NOT having it so verified.
“Those who can mobilize hundreds of scientists reverse engineering then improving on Rossis ideas.”
If it were me, I’d sell the entire device in a black box rigged with thermite to melt it into a puddle of molten metals if anyone tampers with it. That is the only protection against reverse engineering that really exists: self destruct built in.
Your scientific background is 1000x better than mine so if you think there might be something to Rossi eCat then I am keeping my hopes up
Come October we shall see...I sure hope he arrives in October and does not push it back
I’m just hoping not fake. I can’t lean. All the sources you cite are pre-2005. Roissi eCat is even more revolutionary because it uses much cheaper nickle than platinum or palladium. BTW all three are in the same family on the periodic table (in case you did not know or for the edification of others)
Patents only work in countries that play by the rules. They are useful in those countries only.
You cannot prevent a country from purchasing your device and reverse engineering it.
That’s life.
If it’s for sale, or can be obtained somehow, they will get one and learn how to make it.
You can’t stop that over which you have no control.
So get on with the production and patents.
I was responding to Free Vulcan’s claims.
I’m not anti-CF but how Rossi is going about this doesn’t make much sense. And no, I’m not talking about the technical details, I’m talking about how he’s presenting it if its true.
“If it were me, Id sell the entire device in a black box rigged with thermite to melt it into a puddle of molten metals if anyone tampers with it.”
And you would soon find yourself in prison...
Nonsense. You label it as “No Serviceable Parts Inside” and “This Device CONTINUOUSLY Generates High Voltage and Must Not Be Opened” and “Extreme Danger ! Explosive If Opened”. You don’t see TV or electronics makers being imprisoned when customers ignore the warning labels even though they contain components that will explode if you attempt to open them — even when you think the device is “off”. Or have you never seen how long large capacitors hold a charge after power is turned off and what happens to them if you puncture them ?
Good luck with that. I dare you to try it...
The lawyers will destroy you in a heart beat...
I think the key to that is that Rossi wanted to do what Piantelli is currently doing....no demonstrations....just product. He was convinced to do the first demonstrations by his colleague, Sergio Focardi, who is in ill health. But having done the demonstrations, and being (often wrongly) criticized on virtually every point, he probably initially felt compelled to defend the demos. I assume at some point, apparently he realized that nothing would change the minds of the "naysayers", and decided to follow the proverb "..the dogs bark, but the caravan passes".
