Why am I suddenly having Max Headroom flashbacks?!?
Oh Micky, you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, Hey Micky...
:)
Graham Bonnet! Who’s cooler than he? Shades, awesome voice, and that little gesture of touching his index finger to his forehead just before singing — he’s the man!

"Night Flight" was awesome! It introduced me to Kate Bush when it aired "Live at Hammersmith Odeon. I really miss that show. And "The Midnight Special." And "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert."

And of course who could forget, The Dead Milkmen:
We went to a shopping mall
And laughed at all the shoppers
And security guards trailed us to a record shop
We asked for Mojo Nixon
They said he don’t work here
We said if you don’t got Mojo Nixon then your store could use some fixin
The only current show I like is Disaster Date, pretty funny.
Actually that whole "Golden Age of Wireless" album is awesome.
USA’s Night Flight was great. I remember seeing my first Iron Maiden video (Flight Of Icarus) on that show. I also liked USA’s Up All Night.
Thought you might enjoy this ping! :)
Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand...
A preppier version of Molly Hatchet?
;D
Rotoscope, wasn’t it?
I dunno.
Did you crack your head on a parking deck bar?
;]
Then there was “Oddities” with the inimitable “The Maxx” series.
Watched ‘em all.
Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” is still haunting.
I had the biggest crush on Kate back then.
Sheesh...I’m about to go on a nostalgia crying jag, here...:)
Did anybody see the ABC *prime time* showing of “Alice Cooper; The Nightmare”?
My 13 year old world changed forever.
The VHS of that is *still* one of my most cherished possessions.
It was great when Weird Al Yankovic did “AL-TV”.
Trivia question: What product was advertised in the first commercial to air on MTV?
Answer: Bubble Yum.
If I had to say, which video I associate the most with early MTV, it would be this one:
