>> Sea Shepherd say they need $1.4 million to release the Irwin or face its permanent seizure.
Aw, what a bitch! You mean to tell me you guys don’t have George Soros in your rolladex? Pity.
Seriously though, as much pleasure as seizing the rustbucket would bring me, I’d prefer to see an explosion break its keel in two pieces while at sea. Survivors to cope with sharks and cold water as best as they can.
But that’s just me.

For the last four years, WHALE WARS has been riveting television because of the passion stupidity and incompetence of the Sea Shepherds, and the danger that gets them into.
There fixed it. Looking forward to even more episodes of SeaHippies Failing Badly.

Id prefer to see an explosion break its keel in two pieces while at sea.I'd rather it got turned over to the fishing company as payment for damages and used to fish. Heads would explode from Hollywood to Hobart.

Whale Wars plays a game of silently slamming the japanese, and a lot of folks buy into their story line as a result.
Then, every now and then someone wakes up and realizes the Sea Shepherds are actually the Nazis!

heh... I can’t argue with that concept. Hoisted on their own petard, and all that.
Me, I just like to see stuff explode. Especially leftist stuff.

Thank heavens a ship was seized. Lawful governments do some times act correctly. I would love to see an harrassed comapany obtain letters of Marque and Reprisal, arm its ships with a 5” gun and cure the hippies.

...criminals
It happened to have it come one day, and I was painting or something
that I didn't want to interrupt to change the channel.
Piracy and chemical terrorism come to mind.

This is actually a more heated debate than you might think on Free Republic. A large number of FReepers support the whalers; another large portion the hippies. A vocal third segment would like to see both sunk.

Is it just me or do other sane people think these clowns are criminals Watching the show I am torn between the two sides, as I feel they are both decidely wrong.
The Japanese, come on "research", no one is buying that BS.
The Sea Shepard? Please. At least Captain Nemo and the Nautalus was fighting for revenge of his families death and thus garneded some sympathy.
But I am reminded of the quote falsely attributed to george Patton, when asked what he would do if caught beteen the Russians and the Germans:
I'd fight in both directions.

A few of those ‘sheep’ were humbled by the Japanese people and their civilized behavior following the earthquake/tsunami back in March. The crew had been assaulting Japanese whalers - private fishermen in a foreign land no less...when the tsunami slammed them with a dose of reality.
I believe it was on the Weather Channel which had 2 remarkable shows on the coastal towns that were devastated.

I have been thinking about making a contribution to the ship and its crew.
When I say "the ship", I'm referring to the Nisshin Maru.
I would love to see an episode where the hippies receive all the harassment they like to dish out.
