LOS ANGELES (CBS) Police say a woman has been charged with aggravated assault after grabbing a 4-month-old baby from his stroller and slamming him into a metal pole in front of his mother and aunt.
Natasha Hubbard, 36, was arrested July 21 after attacking the infant in the Toy District, near Skid Row. Police say Adriana Miranda was pushing her infant son, Alexander, who was belted into a stroller with her sister walking nearby.
KNX 1070′s John Brooks reports.
Without warning, Hubbard unbelted the boy from the stroller and grabbed him by the leg. Witnesses told police she swung the child over her head and slammed him into a metal rail of a nearby truck.
The mother and aunt fought off the woman and mom grabbed the baby, Los Angeles police Lt. Paul Vernon said. Hubbard attacked [Miranda], scratching and clawing her as she clutched Alexander in her arms.
Miranda and her sister ran into a store for protection as Hubbard ran away, police said, but the owner of the store pushed the two women back out onto the street. Arriving officers were able to find Hubbard with the help of witnesses.
Hubbard told detectives at the police station that she tried to break off the babys arm so she could eat it.
Were so lucky Alexander was not more injured than the bruises and swelling he received, Vernon said.
Miranda also sustained minor injuries in the attack.
Hubbard is being held on $55,000 bail and will be arraigned on Aug. 4.
Police believe that Hubbard may have attacked others near Skid Row. Anyone with information about Hubbard can call Detective Erik Moya at (213) 972-1234 or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
A real zombie attack?
These kinds of actions affirm my belief that there are people who are posessed of demonic forces. Regardless, I would still have put this woman down had it been my child.
OMG!
When diversity attacks!

Once walking to the train in Brooklyn an elderly man collapsed on the street in front of me. Right in front of a laundromat. I bent to help him and he reached up and tried to pull himself up. I helped him to his feet. People watched, walked by. No help. So i have my arm around him and hes very unsteady on his feet. Was mid winter and freezing out. walked him to the laundromat to call an ambulance. Sit him on a chair and the owner comes out threatening me with a butcher knife. I was going to upset his business you see.
Yeah, she’s diverse all right. I’m guessing she voted for Obama, at least once.
The store pushed them back outside. Nice place. They could have locked the doors, called the police and assisted the women and the baby. What goes around comes around.
that monkey would be DEAD right now......
Scary how humanity seems to have vanished from the earth at times.
Thanks to the ACLU, such people were turned out of State mental hospitals. Then the States realized they saved a ton of money by letting them roam the streets until they committed felonies, then just putting them in prison.
Were States to try and institutionalize the insane today, the cost would be astronomical, even though standards of care today are to just drug them into a 23-hour a day coma, to minimize the annoyance.
Rehabilitation, when someone is that far gone, is not worth it, as it just doesn’t work.

There are scum of all types. My 80 year old grandmother fell one winter and her neighbor came over to help her. Another neighbor ‘helped’ and ended up suing my grandmother for $50,000 for hurting his back. He didn’t even help her. His wife then also sued my grandmother for $50,000 for loss of consortium. No offense men, but I don’t think there are too many men out there that are worth $50,000.
So.... is this her normal ‘fare’ for an afternoon meal?
How did she develop this craving?
Is there an abortion clinic near Skid Row with a dumpster out back?
That business needs a visit.
I'm guessing she has never voted in her life, and if you asked her who the President and VP were, couldn't name them to save her own life.
Of course, someone could have used her 'name' to vote for her, but that's another story.
Please tell me you filed charges against that owner of the laundromat. What is WRONG with people that they would act this way in an emergency and not be willing to give solace to the obviously needy??
I wish the store was named so people could choose to boycott it. Shame on that store owner. As for the nutjob she should never see the streets again. Some people need to be locked away forever. Prayers for the baby.

Just another liberal going for a retroactive abortion.
Think about where this business is. Somehow, the term SKID ROW doesn't seem to sink in to the readers here.
Those business owners have learned throughout the years, if you want to survive, DO NOT GET INVOLVED. It seemed like the store owner was an oriental. Which may also explain why he didn't want to be involved.
Why do you think people in New York learned to just CLOSE THE WINDOW and not witness what was happening in the street?
Should we destroy all New Yorkers because they didn't want to get killed just for having seen something?
The source of the 'problem' is not in the store owners, or NY apartment dwellers. It is in our JUDICIAL SYSTEM (I no longer call it the JUSTICE system, because that is a misnomer).
