Investigators searching for Madeleine McCann are examining a report from India that a young girl matching her description was spotted in the market of a Himalayan city.
The Chandigarh Tribune said that a British woman had seen a youngster bearing a remarkable likeness to Madeleine who disappeared four years ago. She would now be eight years old.

IMO, the girl’s dead.
I am no expert on all the facts of this case, however there is a disturbing trend of parents administering sleeping pills to their children so that they can “have time to themselves”. The Casey Anthony trial brought this out. Children’s bodies cannot handle heavy doses of this type of medication.
Imagine being in rural India, and some guy tries to grab your child, claiming it is the missing Mccann girl (who, being French, you may never had heard of)?

The “I distinctly heard her sniffle. Didn’t you hear her sniffle, dear? Fetch the Benadryl and dose ‘er up, please” scenario.
Wow.... let’s see what this turns up.
Hopefully not another mistaken identity as with that girl in Morocco a few years ago (who looked excatly like Madeleine).
