What probably pushed her to drugs are these annoying fans who idolize celebrities, and the paparazzi that follow them everywhere. They dont have a private life anymore and as we can see by the many examples of celebrities killing themselves or overdosing on drugs that the lack of a private life is detrimental to ones mental health. Personally, I would probably assault photographers if they followed me with cameras, and I would tell fans who approached me to fu** off. I remember once I was at the airport and kirsten dunst came in the lounge and people would walk p to her and ask for an autograph. This is what they face everywhere they go and i can imagine it can become so frustrating. In any case, I think its just retarded to idolize “celebrities”, I actually idolize people who accomplish things that contribute things to humanity which advance our way of living or thinking. In anycase, if anyone lives their life under the microscope of the world they will go nuts.
Good post. May explain why such a small percentage of users actually help pay the bills.
True enough. Now, smile for the security cameras...(they aren't everywhere--yet).
There are a lot of legends in the industry who manage to do just fine in living a lof profile life, off of the studio set or when they aren’t out promoting a film. Many legends like Meryl Streep and Daniel Day-Lewis have avoided self destruction, why not Amy? I am really, really intolerant of the self destructive because they always hurt more than just themselves through their actions.
