Interesting. I saw the late great Patsy Cline video Crazy and got curious about her fatal crash, which linked to the crash involving Jim Reeves. So many Opry losses in such a short time.

What really amazed me was the fandom JR had in Sri Lanka, of all places. That’s about the last place I would think having a C&W artist as a star.

Also very popular in South Africa back in the day. He actually made a movie there, I believe called "Diamond Jim."

Jim Reeves was, in my estimation, blessed with one of, if not THE, most melodious baritone voices in all of music, let alone Country. Set the stage for Ray Price's pop crossover.
