I saw many sights and met some great people there in the early 80s; I haven't been back to Mexico in 20 years. The risk is too high.

No young American has any business visiting Mexico.

Of course I'm in California... Mexico's come to me.

I look at it differently. I can be in Mexico in 10 minutes, just a short drive across town.
I think it is like that for most Californians now.

My wife (to be) and I spent many wonderful nights in Juarez
back in ‘93 and ‘94 — one of the greatest places I’ve
ever been (and we’ve been lucky enough to travel a bit).
I wouldn’t fly over that hell hole POS now. Worst effin’ city on the planet. Bombs awy Curtis Lemay is what I say!

Add me to the list of former Mexico travelers. Used to think nothing of loading up and driving down to Guaymas. No more. Mexico is a failing narco state. And all the illegal aliens fly the bandera and spout "Mexican pride." Pride in what? Mexico could be a great country if not for Mexican culture.
