I actually had a friend in 68 that had one in his Canary Yellow, jacked up Pontiac Passing-for-a-GTO next model down (Bonneville?)....

GTO>Lemans>Tempest.

Bonneville was the top of the line model, but the fullsize chassis.

And a 63 Pontiac Tempest is almost the same car as a 64 Buick Skylark, but it does have an independent rear suspension and a limited-slip differential. See, you can learn things in the movies.
