Using the wind as an air-conditioner doesn’t work well here in Phoenix when it’s 120F. The wind actually makes it feel hotter

At 120F, if you aren't getting evaporative cooling from profuse sweat, you are getting an effect the opposite of wind chill--by increasing airflow you are increasing heat exchange, only in this case, the heat is going into your body instead of coming out. Hydration is life, but also the ability to function well, alertly, and respond appropriately to stimuli.

Israeli soldiers participated in a study to determine the amount of fluids needed in such an environment to retain optimum combat effectiveness: a liter an hour. Don't just knock back water without some sort of electrolyte replacement, either.
