In about 5 months, we’ll hit the two year anniversary of this thing hitting the media. In that time, Tiger has not won a golf tournament, and the way the world rankings work, he’ll most likely be outside the top 50, maybe even out of the top 100 very, very soon.
Elin must chuckle from time to time, because his wrongs have basically completely done him in.
The severity and number of surgeries related to his left leg, are so bad, it is quite possible he never wins a tournament again. He basically needs to learn how to play golf off of the right leg, which is nearly impossible in a competitive sense. Or, he can play left handed?
WOrse yet, he seems to be suffering from the mental hazards of what he’s been through. And that might just be even worse than the physical injuries.
What is very surprising and nice, is how fast golf as a spectator sport has come back. The storylines are there, and the game is very interesting. You hardly hear mention of Tiger anymore, as compared to the incessant mention of him not being in a tournament over the last few years. One can actually see an entire tournament, and not hear him mentioned hardly at all.
A few of us playing golf yesterday, agreed that Tiger is going to need either a very strong new woman in his life, or to establish a relationship with God, possibly both.

Oh, but you can’t say that. Just ask Brit Hume.
I think it’s safe to say that Jack Nicklaus’ record will be safe for quite some time.
Personally, I hope Woods ends up bankrupt and lonely. He deserves it.
Golfing with Brit Hume? ;-)
