I saw him pitch when he was with the Angels. I’ll never forget the hiss of the ball before it popped the catcher’s glove. Here’s hoping the Ryan Express is up and running again.

As a native Houstonian who watched Nolan pitch as an Astro - seeing him called “Texas Rangers” Nolan Ryan really sticks in my craw.
God speed for a quick recovery!

What a shame......he was to have been part of the celebration here at Angels' stadium tomorrow night when Gene Autry is inducted into the Angels' Hall of Fame.
Prayers up for a speedy recovery.

First major league game I ever saw in person was a Nolan Ryan no-hitter. He will always be a special guy in my book thanks to that treat.
PS My mom was with us. The very next game she went to, a few years later, had a triple play in the game.
