Ok, let me get this straight. Scientist say that modern humans came out of Africa AFTER neanderthals died out. Therefore Africans have no Neanderthal DNA. However, how could any modern human have neanderthal DNA if they evolved from Africans? How are they determining “African” and “non African” populations? Did Europeans evolve separately from Afircans or didn’t they? Seems to me the DNA says they did.

That was the old theory. The new theory is that modern humans met up with neanderthals, and apparently interbred with them, before the pure neanderthals died out.
