Tropical Depression Two has formed in the Western Atlantic Ocean off the Florida coast. Recon. data reflect near-tropical storm strength winds. A tropical storm warning has been issued for Grand Bahama Island and the Abaco Islands in the northwest Bahamas. The system is currently drifting south with weak steering currents. Early forecast map predicts the storm will remain off the U.S. mainland coast.

weeeeeeeeeeeeee - here we go again
this one is right off my doorstep
Howdy NN looks like its that time of year again!
This one looks like it goes out to sea.
Looks like we are all suffering from a huge non-tropical system—typhoon ozero. It never stops blowing, little rain, impossible to predict low, low baromoreter readings.
In SE TX we’ve been wishing for a depression to move in and stall for a few days. One without wind...just slow steady rain.
Oh, fun..........and so it begins.
At least I can be around this season.
Glad it’s not a threat...thanks for the ping.
Bret was close enough to Florida to get my attention. As well, it has negligible steering currents through tonight. Great to see you back for another silly season! Hope all is well in the Keys.
bttt
Glad to see you back for another silly season! How's DelMarVa?
I’m giggling at the Admin Mod’s thread title change. It’s an original!
Glad to see you back for another silly season. Let’s hope Bret picks up that forecast for a northeasterly turn tomorrow.
Everything is AOK back to work in the am.
Time to chart those storms again.
DelMarVa is still here!!! I was back up in my old stomping grounds in Dover this weekend.
Was sorta kinda down in your neck of the woods at Christmas to visit my dad and aunt in Sarasota.
May this silly season remain silly and not turn out like some others we have shared in the past!
We need a tad more than percolation.
Hey, at least we have a chance for rain again this week, which is far more than we had for the first half of the year!
We had 20 minutes of good rain Friday...watered the grass but we need days of it.
I notice the National Hurricane Center is now issuing warnings in Spanish also.
NHC has posted Spanish translations for years. This may be a more visible format.
