Unimpressed: Russian student Anna Shlyakhtenko who is studying English in London finds the manners of British men 'disappointing'
Russian women working in the UK have launched a scathing attack on British men – branding them filthy and ill-mannered.
They have fired up internet forums and blogs with a series of posts about the shortcomings of the British male – and they hold nothing back.
A post by Tatiana, who appears to work for a top London law firm, posted on ‘lavinia_lond’, a fellow expat’s journal: ‘My male colleagues matter-of-factly scratch their private parts in the presence of females. In meetings, they are biting their nails.
‘One director sneezes loudly, without a thought of covering his mouth or apologising. And my boss, a noted barrister, stretches himself out in his chair, as if he is on a bed. He yawns, sometimes scratching his crotch.
‘He once dug something out of his tummy button through the front of his shirt, then flicked the offending object away with his fingers.
‘He eats lunch at his desk, not washing his hands, just licking his fingers. It is rudeness, which should not be acceptable among well-raised people.’
A forum entitled ‘Why are English people such slovenly and dirty creatures?’ on www.dom-uk.org has attracted 280 posts.
Russian Ekaterina moaned: ‘Oh yes, English people are dirty creatures, this is true.’ Another, called Betsy, wrote: ‘English people are real pigs.

Actually, modern-day Russian women are often knock-outs. In NYC, they are all over the the fashion and beauty industries. You are looking at photos taken from the old Soviet Union.
As someone who has lived in England and goes there all the time, I will say that Englishmen have really cleaned up their act over the years. I don’t find them particularly dirty or smelly. Now, rude, that’s another story. They can often be rude - they’re fairly xenophobic and probably take the p*ss out of the Russians who work in their offices. They can be impossible to Americans.
Suggest a charger and rechargables. Initial cost is substantial, but over time it saves a ton of money (and trips to Wal-Mart).
I’m married to one- elegant, glamorous, well dressed(on a small budget- mixes and matches), neat, very clean,considerate, cooks(after work), and great in THE very important way.
As a man engaged to a Singapore Chinese woman, this is a common and mistaken belief widely held by American women. What the Asian or other "Eastern" woman will not do is criticize her husband in public because she believes (correctly) that doing so is harmful to the image of the family. Behind closed doors, Asian women don't hesitate to say what they think. Loudly. :)
Regarding the Russian women's comments, I suspect they are just encountering the same general decline in class among people under 50 that we are seeing in the USA. Television programming is the role model for ugly social behavior on both sides of the pond.
That’s because the mothers of these men were too busy working to teach them any manners or etiquette.
I didn't in the beginning, but over time I have found the majority of Western women repulsive. Much of this stems from their mindless quest for equality.
There are major differences in appearance - go to any city in the USA and take a look at how the women dress in public - now travel to any major city in Asia. You will be shocked. The Asian women actually take pride in their appearance.
They want equality in the workplace and in society and they have it, they can dish it out but they can't take it.
Asian women, the majority from what I have seen and experienced are happy with themselves. They don't want equality in the sense that Western women want it - they recognize and appreciate the fundamental differences between men and women.
From the sounds of it, I don’t know if there is any foreign country I want to visit anymore. French are rude, English are rude, Islimes in Denmark, Almost any African country is awful, India can be a hellhole, who wants to go to Russia for heaven’s sake, and so on... I’ll stay here in good o’ America, thank you...but only the good parts...

Some years back I took a beer-money job as a night stocker at an eastern Nevada Wal-Mart (10 pm - 6:30 am). I expected to see some weird characters come out of the woodwork, but mostly they ended up being women with garish tattoos over all parts of their bodies. And, they didn't wear clothes - they wore, or barely wore, costumes.
One morning a woman came in very nicely dressed. I was tempted to compliment her that she was one of the few women I had seen who dressed like a LADY. However, in these screwy days, compliments may be taken as an "assault" so I kept mum. In three years of employment, she was the only one.
