FULL TITLE: 'Slovenly, dirty, and when they're not being rude they're biting their nails': Russian girls launch attack on British men...
Unimpressed: Russian student Anna Shlyakhtenko who is studying English in London finds the manners of British men 'disappointing'
Russian women working in the UK have launched a scathing attack on British men branding them filthy and ill-mannered.
They have fired up internet forums and blogs with a series of posts about the shortcomings of the British male and they hold nothing back.
A post by Tatiana, who appears to work for a top London law firm, posted on lavinia_lond, a fellow expats journal: My male colleagues matter-of-factly scratch their private parts in the presence of females. In meetings, they are biting their nails.
One director sneezes loudly, without a thought of covering his mouth or apologising. And my boss, a noted barrister, stretches himself out in his chair, as if he is on a bed. He yawns, sometimes scratching his crotch.
He once dug something out of his tummy button through the front of his shirt, then flicked the offending object away with his fingers.
He eats lunch at his desk, not washing his hands, just licking his fingers. It is rudeness, which should not be acceptable among well-raised people.
A forum entitled Why are English people such slovenly and dirty creatures? on www.dom-uk.org has attracted 280 posts.
Russian Ekaterina moaned: Oh yes, English people are dirty creatures, this is true. Another, called Betsy, wrote: English people are real pigs.

Not like here and they are reserved for the elites. Who can afford it with all the taxes?

I’m no fan of England, but these gals could go back to Russia. That is funny about scratching yourself in front of people; I’d just laugh if someone did that (though I wouldn’t be shaking their hand).

They could go back to Russia.
And how does this fit with the meme that all “Eastern” women are dainty, submissive, ego-boosters, perfect for the Western man who doesn’t want to make any effort?

Actually it seems mostly it's Western women who think that.
There was a good long-time thread a couple years ago which eventually got zotted, but included some good observations on this subject.
It's not so much that Eastern women are submissive ego-boosters, it's that they are comfortable with the fact men and women are fundamentally different. Most do not want to be men's equals, and frankly find the idea of being like men a bit insulting.
Just imo.

Come to America...I promise I won't do none of that stuff...

I work with several Russian women. Most tend to be very fashion-oriented.

I’m sure British manners — like British everything else — have degraded under socialism.

Most do not want to be men's equals, and frankly find the idea of being like men a bit insulting. If I posted that, 46 people would show up to call me a femi-nazi and the reincarnation of their ex-wives.

LOL. Actually I didn't say anything about whether my observation included a component of relative status or power. It's funny, how preconceived positions can influence how something is interpreted. :)
Your interpretation is very probably correct.

Why would a woman want to be “equal” with a creature who bases his self esteem on the accident of birth size of his anatomy and thinks 2,000 times a day of “doing it”?
