Sounds to me like she shot after the husband picked up the dog. Did she think she was Annie Oakly and could shoot the dog out of her husbands hands? I bet he was thinking Oh, Sh**, I shouldn’t have yelled at her this morning!

That is what the kid said, and also that the kids were inside the house and out of danger already. So why shoot the dog at that point? Hmmm...

That’s what I thought when I read that. Unfortunately can’t be a Darwin Award because the stupid one didn’t die.
