I know most of the material, but seeing it set out as a story really helped me understand how consistent she has been from the beginning, and it gave new life to her convention speech, and the Wisconsin speech. The warrior talk, the mama grizzly talk, it’s not focus-group political image-making at all. It’s just who she is, believe it or not. And that is why nothing less will do.
That is the authenticity which led to the indomitable personality that we see, it seems that there has never been a time in her life, from childhood through the highest reaches of politics, that Sarah Palin was ever anything but exactly who she is.
Sarah Palin is like Reagan, in that the more we put her life under a microscope, the more we dig under the surface biography and image, instead of finding the 'inevitable' flaws, the human flaws, and the dark secrets, the more we realize that she is even better than we knew.
