Hogwash.

More and more kittehs are strictly indoor cats these days. I adopted two bitty kittehs earlier this year from a rescue group (kittehs came chipped and spayed)and I had to promise that they would be strictly indoor kittehs. I would never let my cats outside--there is heavy traffic on the street--busses, truck traffic, car traffic until 11.30 or so, and wild animals like raccoons and coyotes in the neighborhood.

I'm not alone. I see fewer and fewer kittehs walking around the neighborhood, but I do see them sitting in windows.

Yes, all pet cats should be kept indoors.

Cats left to roam outdoors have less than half the life expectancy of cats cared for in the house or apartment. Too many potentially lethal problems out there, ranging from motor vehicles to disease to attacks from larger animals.
