You can get teaberry oil from Lorann Oils. You'll also need some pink food coloring if you want it pink.

I'll be honest, I just use 4 cups half and half more times than not and it works fine. I just split it up like its cream and milk. This is from memory, but it works:

2 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups whole milk
8 large egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons teaberry oil

Warm milk, sugar, salt in a saucepan.

Chill cream in a metal bowl on ice.

Whisk together egg yolks. Slowly pour in warm milk. Whisk, whisk, WHISK!!!

Stir that mixture over medium heat and make a custard. Give it the wooden spoon test.

Pour custard into cream and whisk, whisk, WHISK!! Get it cold enough to feel ok putting it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.

Once its ready, put it in the machine and add the oil and food coloring. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS OIL!! Man is it strong. Do it ½ teaspoon at a time and taste it. One drop over 2 teaspoons ruins it. Add the pink food coloring. It takes a LOT. Like 20 drops.

Eat
