Baseball has abandoned a few traditions. There were critics of the four division setup established for 1969. Same with wild cards added for 1995. Interleague play, too, and how World Series opponents never met in a regular season: once tradition. And a former GM proposed a radical realignment based on geography a few weeks ago. baseball currently has a 6-team division and a 4-team division with the rest being 5 teams. At some point, that could change based on speculation so that all six divisions have five teams.

You are correct....
And I stand corrected.
Traditions have been broken in the past...and will be broken in the future.
