In most places they are. San Diego is apparently behind the curve.

Our cats are indoors and we will decide what shots they do or do not get. Not the effing city.

Most of the places we’ve lived require cats to be registered and vaccinated. Is this really that unique?

I register mine, but no longer vaccinate him regularly, since he is very sensitive to the vaccines. I have him titer tested, then vaccinated as needed with all of the accompanying precautions.

This springs to mind, for some reason...

Fish license sketch, plenty of cat license mention.

Our cat was usually off impregnating the girl cats, beating up the boy cats and eating songbirds and squirrels. If I had tried to stop him he would have taken off my leg at the knee and killed a couple neighborhood dogs just to send a message.

He was half ally cat, half b+w, and knew what you were thinking before you did.

Come to think of it, we were his pets, but he was pretty good about bring us squirrel halves. Very generous that way.

“I wish to request a cat licence for me pet cat Eric”

“Who said you need a cat licence?”

“The man from the cat detector van.”

“The loonie detector van you mean!”

“Look, it’s people like you what cause unrest! The man told me that their equipment could pinpoint a purr at twenty yards, and Eric being such a happy cat was a piece of cake!”

Oh, well..... and now for something completely different!

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is a radical animal rights group that inaccurately portrays itself as a mainstream animal care organization.

I wonder the reaction of the cat owners would be if they knew this is a radical PETA organization that is pushing this agenda. The HSUS wants to outlaw all pets.

Well golly gee! My wife and I have adopted 15 animals, 8 dogs and seven cats, of which five dogs and five cats are alive and doing quite well, All of them are either spayed or neutered, not because we had to have it done, but because it was the right thing to-do. These animals were all throw aways, we do not have to license them nor get shots for them but we do have them vaccinated if we feel they require it. They all stay in the yard which is large and go for walks on the beach, only one cat does that the rest don't take to the water to well. Not having to license them helps in the cost of food and vets bills. Oh Ya! did I mention that we live in Mexico in Baja Sur opps!
So anyhow we try to get as many as these poor orphan Arnie's that we can homes, you would be surprised at how any of these throw aways get a new home when the kiting/windsurfing season is here and how many go home with their new masters. So there is some things in Mexico that are not regulated to death and their voter I.D. is excellent.

I never realized kittehs were a cost burden on the taxpayer.
I always thought those dastardly goldfish were the usless eaters.

Maybe kitteh needs to submit to taxpayers an itemized bill for disposing of rodents and other public nuisances.

Cat owners, prepare to be boarded by govt inspectors looking for unlicensed criminal kittehs!

I have a license for my dog, Eric, my cat, Eric, and my fish, Eric.

They’re those new-fangled modular licenses, where you just cross out the word “dog” and replace it with “cat” or “fish” or even “hedgehog,” which will be my next pet, Eric the Hedgehog.

Those commies need to herd those cats! They are out of control - a domestic terrorist risk!
