I know. This is hot off of the heels of what Rush said just the other day, which is why it was on my mind.

Economy-wise, the wheels are coming off the bus. There is no stopping it now. The GOP has transferred as much wealth to the ultra-wealthy as the people will allow, and the Democrats have cemented in place 100 Million unemployable welfare recipients to use as easily-manipulated shock troops when the working class refuses to pay anymore (or to work for next to nothing compared to what the welfare class gets for just breathing).
I don’t think either party wants to be in charge during the transition period to a “planned” economy that robs us of our freedom and way of life because they’re still running on the old paradigm that says that you can beat the party in charge during bad economic times. These bad times will laast a generation or more. Each party is positioning itself to be in charge after we all become slaves to unholy government/corporatist alliance. It really won’t matter which one wins at that point because there won’t be hardly any difference from our perspective.
