I made that statement not to engender pity but to point out that they had no outside influence on their decision.

Can't hardly believe you are that ...well nieve perhaps...when the juror foreman himself said he was worried about his two dogs after being away from them. THAT is an 'outside influence'. He and others wanted to get home.
