Too bad she lost such a great job—a bagger at PUBLIX. This jury’s combined IQ must have been around 60.
Exactly right...
Unlike many on this forum I did not follow this trial at all and only tuned in for the closing arguments. I am one of those lawyers (with over 30 years experience) that so many on this forum love to hate. After the closing argument of the defense counsel, I told my wife that unless the prosecutor rehabilitated its position on rebuttal, the jury would not return a guilty verdict on murder and the best the prosecutor could hope for was manslaughter.
The prosecutor did not rehabilitate its case and the outcome is that she walks.
I have a good friend I graduated with who lost his (really good) job a while back due to lay offs & had so much trouble finding another one, that he finally went to work at the local Publix so he could FEED HIS FAMILY....and he has a Master’s Degree, so be careful with your assumptions less you make a fool of yourself.
I personally have been out of work for a long time & have a master’s degree also & if I didnt have to pay $600 a month for daycare, you can bet I’d bag groceries in a heartbeat at minimum wage to keep from losing everything I have & feeding my kiddos rice for breakfast, lunch & supper... if that makes me have a low IQ according to you judgemental folks then so be it... At least I’ll have my integrity for not mocking a person for working for a living.
I thought FreeRepublic was all about pulling yourself up when down & not depending on the gov’t. This juror may not be as high & mighty as you, and obviously blessed with the crown jewel of all jobs...but at least she worked an honest job for a living...
