AIUT, the current animal welfare laws in Germany are actually the same as the Nazi laws, but modified. It seems that the concept of Dauerwald has ended up being "writ large" on the world, eh?

The same author wrote another article for AIM awhile back where he quoted one of the original animal rights gurus in Germany who specifically charged the Jews with animal cruelty because of the dominion mandate given in Genesis 1 - Arthur Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer was Hitler’s favorite philosopher. Hitler could quote him verbatim. Schopenhauer once said, “we owe the animal not mercy but justice, and the debt often remains unpaid in Europe, the continent that is permeated with Foeter Judaicus…It is obviously high time in Europe that Jewish views on nature were brought to an end…the unconscionable treatment of the animal world must, on account of its immorality, be expelled from Europe.” That Jews would later be treated like experimental animals is perhaps not as surprising as some would assume - http://www.aim.org/aim-report/hitlers-green-killing-machine/.
