Always good for us newbies to hear from the old timers; especially those who actually enjoy sobriety.
4 years 8 months and 12 hours sober here (but, who’s counting?)
btw, the recovery family here on this board helped steel my resolve to take the needed steps. Let’s all work together to make sure the hand of FR is there for the next suffering one. (Read my tagline)
Congrats.

Glad to see so many “FRiends of Bill W” here as FReepers.
God willing, October i’ll celebrate 32 years!!
and "FRiends of Lois W." here as FReepers, as well.

PRAISE GOD. CONGRATS.
We're all over the place!
It’s amazing, isn’t it? I was 29 on June 29th.
There are dark days in sobriety- going through some right now- but there’s a huge difference between them and the dark days when I was drinking. I’ve learned that I never have to walk through these days alone, without direction, haphazardly bumping along. I know what to do when trouble comes; God and the steps never fail me as long as I don’t turn my back on them.
Congratulations and Happy Birthday, GB, you’re now an official oldtimer! Thanks for posting :)
Your A.A. B/day? I turned 66 years old on June 29th. I have a g/son who is 26. What does that make me? Ans...... very old.......but sober, by the grace of God. Hang in there!
Yes- my AA Bday on June 29th was 29 years without a drink- I forget sometimes.
My first meeting an old timer said the days will turn into weeks, the weeks into months and the months into years...and you’ll be sober just for today. Always remembered that because I didn’t see how I’d go a day let alone a week ;)
Congrats, Greybeard58.

Congratulations! What a wonderful birthday - you rock!
“I cant seem to make it one day. By the grace of God, maybe tomorrow I will.....”
I was the same way as I’m sure most of us were. When I finally hit my bottom, I sought help and was able to put the days together. By the grace of God, I turned 20 last February.
Just 17 years. 5 months. 7 days. (dos 2/4/94)
God saved my life, using AA people. I let him, them.
I feel like a newcomer on this thread.
Congratulations, Graybeard, on thirty years of living life one day at a time.
