Career is now, if it was not already, officially over.

Dave is in his 60’s, already made plenty of money and may be looking for fresher pastures.

He is still the guy I knew in K-12 school (a few years ahead of me) who would challenge anyone to arm wrestle. Don’t mess with Dave Mamet.

It takes a lot of courage to come out as a Conservative in his circles...not only will his career suffer, but he will be a social pariah as well. He will be viewed as a traitor...remember that the Democrat party has completely morphed into the snitchy, snarky Communist busy body who relishes turning in anyone who deviates even the slightest from the party line...gleeful at being the responsible one for someone else’s misery.

“Career is now, if it was not already, officially over.”

Did you listen to the interview? When asked the question of whether conservatives in Hollywood are penalized, he said it depended on where you were in the hierarchy. If one had commercial value/successes and was of benefit to the corporate interests, then no. But he also said that for those who were still struggling or just starting to grow, then yes, they were suddenly shunned and often fired. (I’ve heard Voigt, Sinise, Breitbart and other Hollywood conservatives say the same thing, but Mamet’s now written a book about it! And I bet it’ll be a best-seller :-)

He’s a huge, proven success many times over. That’s why it’s so gratifying to hear someone of his stature be conservative (even better, a convert!), speak out and tell the truth about how it REALLY is in la-la land.
