Six-year-old Diamond Marshall shatters protocol and rushes into the royal arms
A dream come true
It was a dream come true for a little girl who has always wanted to meet a real princess.
When Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, touched down at Calgary Airport yesterday, 6-year-old Diamond Marshall, her little head bald from her battle with cancer, ran up and threw herself right into into her royal idol's arms.

*Have a tissue handy for the last photo, which is the letter that Diamond wrote to Kate.
The NHS used to be damn good with great doctors and good medicine. Now, you just get a hug from a princess.
This is what you can expect from Obamacare, just a hug from Michelle and that should make you feel all better.
You know I did not really know what to make of these new royals, but the more I see of William and Kate the more I am starting to like them as I loved Di to death. They seem like a real class act together, I was really touched when I saw this on my local news and I wish them all the best in the future.
You’ve got a cold heart.
Diamond said she wished to meet a real princess. Kate makes a fine princess, no doubt, but all Diamond need do is look in the mirror and she will see a real princess.

Who was the toughest person I ever met? A Marine? Cage fighter? Chuck Norris? A fireman? Steven Segal?
None of the above. The toughest person I ever met fought neuroblastoma until the last second. She was a little girl but the biggest of people. She seemed so small in her coffin. She blessed everyone see touched. The times I was able to give her some joy were the best times.
If this child had for even a moment something that made her happy and she forget about all the pain that is a good thing.
For some reason the Lord takes the most special ones too early.
I suppose you were trying to be funny. Didn't make me laugh.....
technically, Kate is not a princess.....she can’t have the title like Diana did as she has no “royal blood” in her...she was a “commoner”, thus she cannot, as yet, be a princess. silly, I know.
Well explain Ryan Seacrest then
I really like the new Royals. I’m thrilled for this couple...and for England. Her mother-in-law would have been proud.
Yeah. The difference between theory and practice.
I feel the same way. I look at that couple and think that they could redeem the dignity of the British royals in the eyes of many. Young, somewhat casual and scandal-free. Even the Queen seems a bit more upbeat...perhaps she is breathing a sigh of relief looking past her environutty philandering son and seeing a better generation on the horizon!
Everybody looks so happy in the pictures. With Moochelle someone in the photo usually doesn’t look happy.
That would waste both a turnip, and the delicious opportunity for Michelle to look straight into the child's eyes, smile, and lick the ice cream.
That's how it's really done.
If that little girl believes that Kate is a real Princess, then that's our story and we're stickin' to it.
I can only parrot the response I heard during the wedding hoopla that she is not a princess and why. Silly, I know.
Nancy Reagan knelt down and reached out her hands towards the little girl and she ran up and hugged her.
A hug from Michelle and you might suffocate! But then I guess you’d be out of your misery!
