Actually, what I REALLY don't understand is that out fo the 12, there wasn't ONE joror who felt that she was guilt of manslaughter, and wasn't willing to stick to his/her guns..hold the other juror's feet to the fire, and if necesary,Contrary to what I've always understood, I was told that If it was a 12 person jury, they only needed 9 jurors for a verdict. Truthie??

Thats in a civil case, NOT a criminal case. Criminal cases need to be unanimous.

The last time I was on a 12 person jury, we needed 10 in total agreement. But on the various charges, the same 10 needed to be in total agreement on all the charges, not a different 10 for each charge. But that was a civil case, not a criminal.
