“not ONE held out for the lesser count of manslaughter”

Maybe because they knew they’d be there one minute longer?

When I worked on the pipeline, even years ago, we made fantastic money. But even though we were well fed and housed and piling up the dough, one by one, everyone in my crew quit. Including myself.

Sequestration needs to be thoroughly examined for the future. I hear it is extremely rare, and the 2 I know of-—OJ and slutmom. are both NG in trials with prosecutors typically winning 90+% of their cases.

I am really not trying to be a jerk, but look up the definition of Justice.

“...the administration of law according to prescribed and accepted principles.”

Justice has to do with the process.

Of course, the Justice that Casey will ultimately face will have a Judge a lot bigger and badder than they guy we saw this morning.

IMO, Cindy justified everything Casey did, ie. stealing, lying, etc. Cindy destroyed evidence, lied under oath and tried to frame Jesse. She’s a manipulator that raised a sociopath.

She fed the beast.

Why is she tired and stressed out? That jury is the laziest, stupidest group of people on the planet.

I predict Geico™ will use this in their advertizing "So easy even a Florida Juror can do it".

A new low, That is "Florida Jury stupid".

Is this the jury chick who got an all-expense paid trip for her and her family to Disneyworld courtesy ABC TV?

Cindy is the one who raised hell about her grand daughter being missing. Tried to have Casey arrested on theft charges to compel her daughter to come clean as to Caylees whereabouts. Cindy clearly loved that lil girl and was emotionally distraught. However, Casey is her daughter and so I’m sure she was/ is conflicted.

I am not in her position, and hopefully I never will be. I will not judge her for her actions — or inactions.

>>Why was this “accident” never revealed for 3 years ?<<

LOL You tell me. I didn’t say there was an accident. You asked why would someone do something and I gave you some items that could be considered reasons. My contention is that the prosecution simply didn’t prove it wasn’t an accident. They insisted that it was an intentionally cause death and got stuck in not being able to prove what happened.

You could be onto something there...If ONE juror had held out..they'd probably have deliberated through the weekend, then told the judge they were deadlocked, and he'd have sent them back, admonishing them to try hard, for at least another few days..so they may well have chosen the path of least resistance.

However, as they were there every day, and heard the testimony, saw the evidence..you'd think they'd be eager to get justice for the little child..

Our jury system is similar to Ben Franklin's description of democracy.." a terrible way to govern, but far better than anything else we have.." ( don't recall the exact quote..)

No one in that family is innocent.

Casey Anthony juror goes to Disney World, then breaks silence

A juror in the Casey Anthony case has broken her silence on acquitting the mother of murdering her two-year-old, speaking to the ABC after it treated her and four other jurors to a trip to Dinsey World.

Cindy also told her mother she pressed charges over the checks Casey stole, she would never see Caylee again.

It’s not unusual to see an enabler in the family of a young sociopath, an enabler who makes a excuses for their off spring and thus facilitates the anti-social behavior.

This whole family is so dysfunctional that it would be amazing if they didn’t raise a sociopath. I was just reading yesterday, about the relationship (or lack of it) between the parents and how Cindy is the sole supporter of her husband, his gambling problem and threats to take half the house to pay his gambling debts.

Of course, there is no real way to know if this is even all true, but it fits.

Cindy should (but won’t IMHO) be charged with perjury, at a minimum.

>>They do not provide reasonable doubt that a homicide occurred.<<

I didn’t say they did. I simply answered the questions as you put them to me. You only assumed I was trying to present “reasonable doubt”. I have never once identified reasonable doubt. I have simply stated that the State did not prove their case in a way that would have resulted in a verdict of guilty.

As a Native Floridian (B. 1935, Miami) is there any proof that the Jurors are really Floridians?
Seriously, I do not consider anyone a Floridian unless they have been born here or at least have lived here, continually, 12 years. Snow Bird time does not count.
Some immigrants never adjust, ie;”it’s so hot, in the summer”.

I agree with you about Cindy. At first, I kind of felt sorry for her.

I don’t anymore at all. Lying to help your daughter cover up the murder of her child is despicable. Love for your daughter does not include helping her get away with murder.

That whole family lied. I don’t blame a soul for wanting nothing to do with any of them.

We have to accept this verdict, but we don’t have to like it and say we think it was a just decision. I don’t wish any of these people well and I hope they spend many years dealing with the fallout.

They all certainly deserve it.

The parents were in denial about Casey’s pregnancy at 7 months. Incredible.

I must admit I'm tired of all this. Ok justice was served since she was acquitted of all charges. So Caylee is dead, with no apparent reason, method or motive. Why don't we all just move on, thousands of people die every year and no one is ever brought in, at least in this case they were even if it didn't go the way we all think it should.

Have you read the transcript of RP? It gives an interesting look into the family dynamics.

You are positing circular balderdash disguised as rational discussion.
