Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.
Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.
Each of the charges could have been raised to the statute of a capital crime.
The lesser charge was aggravated manslaughter. They could have charged her with negligent homicide. They could have charged her with “normal” manslaughter. They could have charged her with wrongful disposal of the body. They could have charged her with obstruction of justice.
She probably would have gotten convicted on all of those.
You said Freeper posters were just “having a discussion”, like about the economy.
I quoted one of the posters, among many who are hysterical, angry, talk about wanting to “smash’ Casey’s head, and then take their vitriol out on Freepres who don’t agree with them.
No, its not “just a discussion” and yes I am disgusted.
Wow! You assume I didnt watch the trial? You assume I didnt read transcripts? Are you clairvoyant?
If you cant show from testimony whether it was an accident or if someone actually did something deliberate to take her life (i.e. murder) then you cant convict of one or the other. That was the dilemma the jury was in, thus the tears and angst expressed by jury members. The prosecution didnt pick which one to charge on. IMO they could have chosen either one to prosecute on and have gotten a conviction on at least negligent homicide but they didnt.
I’m starting to think you may have been a member of the jury.
“some of the younger students favorite show was Jerry Springer.”
...and some of the FR Dunces that can’t think rationally and have lost the ability to deduce multiple facts...favorite conspiracy theories include “911 was inside job”.

Weak minds accept conspiracy theories, whether from alex jones or defense attorneys like Baez.
Not with jurors that already stated they couldn't judge another person....
“Connecting the dots” is not what a jury is charged to do.
A jury is charged with examining the evidence.
It is easy to “connect the dots” from the gallery.
There is not enough money in the world for me to live in Tampa.
Have you seen the folks in Florida that commit crimes and get away with them?
Instead of calling to alert police to an accident, she HIDES it for a month, and only tells then because she has to.
Further yet, she never shows one ounce of fear, or pain, or concern during that time.
When given the chance to tell it was an accident, she LIES to the extent that this becomes a national story.
Evidently you are displaying too much commonsense for Hannity and a few people here on FR.
This mother didn't ever report that baby missing. The grandmother did.
Anyone who had a 2 yr old missing for 10 minutes would call 911.
I think emotions are just running high, right now. This little girl was the definition of innocence and sparked the protective instincts in any/all parents worth a hill o’beans.
The fact that the mother was out partying vs. grieving or even showing any fear of being found out had this been an accident/cover-up, was shocking to a lot of people.
It’s good that she gets some additional time for the lies. I guess she will not spend any time in prison, only jail at this point, which is a far easier venue.
It’s too bad that LE were not able to get to the truth at the beginning of this investigation, but I doubt they understood the dynamics of this family and what all could disappear if this turned out to be a murder vs. a missing child. The one person who probably had the strongest misgivings, insured that possible evidence would be destroyed in that car when she claims to have cleaned it and other items that existed in that car, because it “smelled”. (I believe all that “alleged cleaning” took place before LE could secure the car.)
LE can’t unring that bell. Going forward, that same person kept insisting that the little girl might be found (at least for a while), but still seemed to try to protect the “suspect”.
It’s a wierd case. It was a wierd defense. It worked for them (at least temporarily). I doubt there will be another case similar to this one; this was a unique family and situation.
They sure did. The “what have you done for me lately” crowd.
You can't have it both ways - either, as Americans, we have the right to complain about something we feel isn't just, or not.
Who wants to kill her? Not reporting her disappearance for a month.. what do you say about that? Somebody did put duct tape on the baby. Casey knows who did it; her parents do to.
Or do you suggest a total stranger was responsible? Odd..I don’t seem to remember the defense mentioning a dark stranger lurking in the shadows.
Glad to see that. The only thing that I'll add is that I'll also boycott any media that pay Cindy, Lee and George for their stories. They also have lied throughout this investigation. They should not be rewarded.
How long before Casey goes through the money she will receive and is on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab?
“I think folks are really missing my point. I am not for a second suggesting she did not do it. I am just saying the state did not prove she did it.”
You know, I notice that even the commentators who are pro-not guilty react like you. Instead of bringing up evidence presented, the just make the blanket statement “no sufficient proof”.
I am quite sure you are a lazy thinker, and thus a moron. Who had access to the computer, at the time the incriminating searches were done? Who had access to the duct tape? Was George’s unflagging search efforts the most elaborate coverup ever documented? Who had control and use of the car that was alerted on by a cadaver dog and many people experienced with the smell of human decomposition? Who had a boyfriend that wouldn’t allow Caylee to spend the night?
“but even the prosecutor admitted in an interview that they couldnt prove it was a murder or an accident.”
That’s a lie...give the quote with a link.
You are absolutely right. Prosecution dropped the ball in re to chgs.
