Sometimes a short fall can prevent a cat from getting their legs under them in time. HOWEVER, the myth that they always land on their feet is just that — a MYTH— and falling from a great height can still be, and often is, deadly. At the very least they can sustain severe and permanent injuries if they are fortunate enough to survive.
