My excuse is: I studied history so long ago, this stuff was not covered in my classes. I would have to have had a “current events” class, which my school did not offer.

I’m not even American but I scored 33 out of 33 for 100%. That surprised me but on reflection I give credit to this website. FR has been a great teacher for many years. I have learned a lot from it and all who post here.

I have always wondered why we do not have any real debates...but I think I know the answer...one candidate is always going to be inferior to another (one guess as to the usual party affiliation) and won’t agree unless structured a certain way.

I frikking HATE watching the “debates”, mostly a waste of time, although they are occasionally interesting in spots as was the case with Dukakis back in 1988...

I have to admit to a bit of puffery there...:)

OTOH, I am gratified that the self-flattery was the result of being compared to the Founders rather than a sports figure or actor.

But I am not immune to that either...when I was counter-protesting the moonbats down in Washington DC last fall, I had a couple who were visiting Washington walk over to talk to me about what we were out there for. In the course of the conversation, they confessed they came over to talk to me because they thought I was a famous actor.

Now, that didn't really make me smile, but when I asked who they thought I looked like, they said "Gary Sinese"...:)

I don't think I can see the resemblance myself without a degree of self-delusion:

Now, I don't think I look like him, and I am sure that it was just my jawline and sunglasses that gave them that illusion, but I will say this: With all the work that Gary Sinese has done for and with the troops, and the high regard that they hold him in, he is about the one, single entertainment figure I would wholeheartedly feel flattered to be compared to!

And I WAS flattered...:) Ahh, vanity. Well, they say, take it while you can!

It is amazing to me (and disappointing) that of the authors of the two main schools of economic thought, Hayek and Keynes, Keynes is far more famous.

If you haven't seen it, check out this video...I found it to be hilarious, yet educational and spot on at the same time:
YouTube Video: "Fear The Boom and Bust", Keynes versus Hayek!

As I said, hilarious yet educational!

“I’m betting that your answer was influenced by listening to Limbaugh and Hannity’s (confused) comments on supply side tax cuts, the Laffer curve, and related topics that they manage to routinely mangle.”

Please explain where Rush is wrong about this.

Dang, 84.85% - 28/33

Misread a couple of questions. Oh well. What is telling is that, on average, the citizens are more informed on the subject matter than the politicos.

There’s a shocker... Not.

I didn't do so good, but I have issues with some of the questions.

the cow jumped over the moon?

Way to go Glock! See, dyslexia is not all bad.

Tork got 26/33 for 78.79% which is good for a guy who was older than his Civics teacher when I graduated from high school. I think being dumb led to my successes in life...
