There was an opportunity to vote for a lesser charge....manslaughter, and she was found “Not Guilty” of that charge also.

I believe it was negligent homicide...she drugged her baby so she could go out , and accidentally overdosed her.

I think your scenario is the most probable.

“I believe it was negligent homicide...she drugged her baby so she could go out , and accidentally overdosed her.”....

I agree with this conclusion. When I heard the judge reading the instructions to the jury yesterday, it took him so long because there were too many possibilities for them to resolve. I had the idea that the prosecutor’s case against Casey was too complicated, and that the jury was lost in the minutiae of the case. The entire case was built upon a huge compilation of circumstantial evidence.

While it is possible Casey did premeditate the murder of her child, I knew it was overreaching to charge her with Murder 1. Better to try her for Murder 2 or Negligence of a Child leading to death. Select one certain charge and stick to it.

Unfortunately little Caylee’s death became a circus full of “entertainment value” rather than a case for true justice. May she rest in the peaceful arms of her Lord and Savior. Jesus loves the little children, and woe to the person who injures an innocent child.
