In the case I sat on where we found the defendant innocent, it was because the prosecutor did not provide the evidence.

Yep.

I have been a juror twice. One of the defendants was clearly a scumbag ... Grade A, Number One piece of human debris. I was convinced, and am today still convinced, that he was and is guilty of many things. What the State utterly failed to do was prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he was guilty of the specific thing of which he stood accused.

So, we acquitted the bastard. What else were we to do?

I was actually appalled that the State had even brought the matter to trial. It had no case.

The evidence was there, the prosecution stunk at presenting it in a cogent fashion.

Was just having a discussion with my Mrs. this morning on how Vincent Bugliosi would have handled this case...

That doesn't constitute a reasonable doubt in any way, shape or form.

Just ebcause someone had accomplices tyo the crime they committed does not mean they are innocent of the crime they committed.

Right you are Nana. The state of Florida (specifically Orange County) failed to prove the case. With the evidence they provided the case should never have been brought.

It’s verdicts like this one that lend encouragement to criminals everywhere...

Yes, that’s correct. Which is why she didn’t testify. She’d ahve been a FOOL to submit to cross examination.

In a flash, Casey Anthony has gone from being a hair’s breadth away from being a condemned woman to one who will be sought after for book and movie deals, and commercial endorsements. Look for Oprah to come out of retirement to land a multi-million $ first interview.

Florida had Alan Grayson as a rep in a district just north of Orlando.. maybe Casey can capitalize on her newfound fame and run for Congress on a platform that includes children’s rights.

After all... anything’s possible in America.

Casey’s mother said the father was a friend of Casey and he was killed in a motorcycle accident. Who knows what the truth is?

...if she did not die of natural causes, that still need not indicate murder.

Then what does it indicate?

Now she’s free to have another baby. Maybe she’ll marry, but without a doubt, she’ll have a falling out with the Daddy, who’ll sue for custody . . .

. . . And lose in family court.

Mom, truly, can do no wrong.

She killed Caylee & I hope no one wants anything to do with her. The jury knew they did wrong & none of them want to talk to the press. OJ 11 & now after all these years OJ says he did kill the 2 Nicole & Goldman. So when is Casey going to say she did kill Caylee? What comes around goes around & Casey will get her just rewards for her deed.

The prosecution should have played the underlying evil up a lot more, not just closing remarks.

The prosecution should have presented some uncontradicted evidence of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and if they didn't have, they should have waited to prosecute until they did.

I never said she was innocent. I just think others were involved.

Casey always wanted an abortion. She got one 3 years later with no penalty...well except for Caylee....and who cares?...apparently nobody.

A jury of her peers agrees with your statement.

Thanks for the compliment, but its just my opinion. Other people here have other opinions.

I SUSPECT she may have killed her kid, but they didn’t provee beyond any question of a doubt she did. To my mind, all they proved is she is a defective personality, but there a lot of those around and they aren’t necessarily murderers.

I leave her to God - He is the ultimate Judge.

It’s my understanding that, if a jury has come to a verdict, they cannot be tried twice.
