This is pretty much expected that they would have some irradiation in the thyroid. It doesn’t mean that evacuation was warranted.
It’s very easy to treat.

Of course I am not comparing Fukushima to Nagasaki. I am wondering if the social stigma that the Japanese have attached to people whose families come from Nagaski, even after all these years, will also be attached to children who come from the Fukushima area. I was commenting on radioactive contamination and the social stigma attached to it.
Speaking of overblown fears, whatever happened to the Fukushima 50 (actually 200)? At first it seemed as though they only had hours to live. I wonder what happened to them. I’m willing to bet most, if not all, are still alive.
