BEIJING -- A 2-year-old Chinese girl left unattended fell 10 stories from her family's apartment window and survived after being caught by a woman passing by, state media reported Sunday. The toddler was in critical condition Sunday with internal bleeding and other unspecified injuries while the woman who saved her suffered a broken arm, China Central Television and the Xinhua News Agency said. The girl, named Zhang Fangyu but known by the nickname Niu Niu, was in the care of her grandmother Saturday afternoon when the older woman left the 10th-floor apartment outside the eastern city of Hangzhou to run an errand, CCTV said.

A 2 year old Chinese girl defies the odds. Consider it a message, China.
"Who in the HELL is that Chinese girl? Sign her up."
Absolutely amazing. Velocity must have been very high at contact. The proper catch would involve timing a recoil motion to keep both parties from death and still might have caused serious injury. Wow!
Houston Astros should sign the lady to a long term contract for the outfield.
Now if we could only find a Chinaman that could throw a silver dollar across the Yellow River with some ‘hop’ on it.

Let us not rule out “Divine Intervention”...
;-)
Nice catch!
Hm? What are the bets it was an “accident”?
According to the first source I found, an average two year old American girl weighs about 28 lbs. I assume Chinese babies are a bit smaller, say 25 lbs.
I applaud the woman's courage and quick judgment, but that baby still must have impacted the ground very hard.
You know what they say. Catch one Chinese kid, and an hour later you’re looking up again...
Amazing.
Thanks to God for the catch. Prayers for the recovery of the child and her rescuer.
Let us not rule out Divine Intervention...
Bingo.
Coma tot's parents taking it day by day
If only the intervention had occured sooner, the toddler would not be in critical condition with internal bleeding and other unspecified injuries and the woman who saved her would not have suffered a broken arm.
I guess its better late than never.
