The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived for an official welcoming ceremony at Prince Edward Island today - the setting for the novel Anne of Green Gables. They arrived in a horse-drawn coach to the delight of thousands more fans who waited patiently for hours for a chance of a glance of the newly-weds.
Kate was seen wearing a cream pencil dress by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen - who designed her wedding dress. She teamed the outfit with navy blue heels for a visit close to her heart - Anne of Green Gables is one of her favourite books.
As the carriage passed the crowds, a sea of camera phones were held up and calls of 'William and Kate' rang out.

I think Kate is a winner. Her natural beauty and ease with people are an asset. I love the ivory cable knit sweater dress with the nautical motif. Could the Duchess actually be wearing stockings? A welcome contrast to most of the Euro- trash bare legged ones in the news recently ( not mentioning any names)
I’d add to this: I wish we had one who would not preach eating “ healthy” food to the American people while she and her family scarf down burgers, fries and fat cakes at every chance. I don’t think “ fat cakes” whatever they are are going to help that huge caboose of hers!.
