You haven’t missed anything - the skull was in the same place for months, which is proven by the fact that the jaw was in place perfectly because vines grew up as it continued to decompose and they held it in place. I agree with you - I don’t know how anyone can’t see that fact.
It all comes down to that, doesn’t it? The duct tape was placed across the child’s mouth and nose before she died. If the jury believes that the only question left is- who put it there? The defense certainly tried to implicate George- but there’s no evidence to show he did.
Further- IF George was responsible for this “burial” then who can possibly believe that as a former homicide detective, he wouldn’t have done a far better job of burying, hiding or disposing of the remains?
