Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.
I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.
I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.
Let me know if you want on or off the ping list.
That particular professor made quite a name for himself, tearing people up in court. His class was fascinating.
Why don’t you go debate it with him.
Why don't you tell me his name so I can Google it and find out for myself how much of a name he has made for himself and how many folks he has torn up?
Why dont you go debate it with him.
Because I have better things to do.

Doesn’t mention his PhD in Math, but he has one.
All those things could have happened...making Casey not ACTUALLY a murderer, but a woman more interested in protecting herself than in grieving for her daughter. If she was capable of pimping out her daughter, it certainly explains her cold attitude and behavior.
The woman is seriously messed up - narcissistic with no empathy or concern for others and a pathological liar. But with all narcissists and pathological liars...there is always a bit of the truth at the root of their lies. Thus, it could have been "accidental" if it took place after some perverted action.
Obviously Cindy has enabled her throughout her life while George just gave up.
Thanks for the link. He looks like an interesting fellow. And he’s only 20 miles down the road from me. His book on evidence and inference would likely be an interesting read. I am suspicious of the marriage of math and law, however. Plain old common sense is also a huge part of the mix.
It doesn’t explain THREE pieces of duct tape, though. One to keep her quiet...alright, it’s possible (not likely). But three pieces?! That doesn’t make sense in any way other than to smother her.
One of my two favorite profs - the guy is Brilliant!
We would sit outside, discussing things, as he chuffed on his pipe. I could wish he had more time to talk to me.
My profound gratitude to your father for his service and sacrifice for our nation.
Thank you ..and very much appreciated. When a soldier dies from battle there is generally a family left behind and children who do not have the pleasure of growing up knowing what having a father is all about..... But they do know what it looks like watching their friends and the interactions they have with their fathers. It hurts children more than people realize...and I remember that all too well.
However along the way one does see and have father type figures when it matters that they do...somebody cares to step into the gap...and for that makes a difference...until that day they realize they are were never completely without a father....they find A Heavenly Father who cares and loves them as no earthly father could.
I do reflect that not only did my father give his life for our dear country...but his 'four' young children, ages 3ys. to 10 yrs.,.. did as well in many repects, though they didn't realize this at the time for their tender ages.
However...Having later two sons who also served..and one who still remains in "The United States Air National Guard"...and the other formerly of "The United States Marine Corp". I am pleased ...beyond measure ....we are all Patriots of this great nation.
"Freedom has a price".....every bit worth dying for and the sacrifices one makes.
Please add me to your ping list for the verdict (and any other CA threads that may come up). Thanks!
It’s done. Thank you for joining.
