I read through the opposition’s site, no claim of LS overstepping frequencies, only a complaint that the power of the signal on an adjacent band causes problems in the GPS band. However, even this only causes problems with a minority of GPS devices, so logically the difference must be in how the GPS devices are built. The explanation that some guard against reception of out-of-band signals and some don’t is the most logical I’ve heard. I’ve built radios, but I’m not an RF engineer, so I’d appreciate any further education on the technicalities.

Sorry, I'm unable to provide any but there are a few around here who could, I'm sure. IIRC there's some sort of FCC caveat on most devices that state "this device must accept any interference even if harmful" or some such Govspeak. Perhaps that's the case here.

If I find anything else out I'll let you know. Have a good 4th of July.
