You mentioned you served on a sequestered jury - how did you feel afterwards? Did things you heard later affect your feelings about the verdict your group rendered?
Not on that particular case. But the last time I served - maybe 17 years ago - we had a hung jury because of one stubborn juror and one Korean-American who refused to believe in the 5th amendment. Afterwards, we found out the defendant had a loooooooooooooong criminal history and we all felt horrible that we didn’t convict and that the guy would be tried again - all at taxpayers’ expense.
What I remember most about this was that the jury was the worst group of humans one could be locked up with for more than one day. I went home and had a major cry and haven’t served since.
