I’ve seen a lawyer operate the way Baez does before. They think what they lack in legal expertise they can make up for in sort of legal shenanigans with the court...like trying to drag things out to the point where they wear out everyone’s patience. In this case Baez knows the judge cannot allow his patience to be worn out so it is like Baez has a blank check in the courtroom. That blank check is, of course, the death penalty issue. You must have seen lawyers like him before?

Yes, the old Fabian tactics. Clinton was a master of them. Remember the impeachment days of yore?

Ugh, God yes. You see this all the time in family law. It is hell going up against them. You kill yourself getting YOUR case all shiny, pretty, and tied up with a big bow and then they pull their ridiculous stall tactics. Worse yet, you have to explain it to the client who still has to pay for your time, which has all been wasted.
